Review : Easy Save

I have been using easy save for a few years now and i do think that (for Playmaker) this is the best save asset around.

It has good documentation and great support by email and a Dedicated forum.

You can  encrypt your save data which means that you save data is more save from hacker (cheat engines) and that is a very big +

You can save and load from the web, so you can upload and download using PHP and / or MuSQL

You can save almost any type and there are additional actions available for Array Maker on the Ecosystem  !

Another advantage is that you can use the saved data on other platforms (cross-platform)

There is also a save all option, i did not try this yet but this should save all the data available (variables

The supported platforms are

  • Windows Store
  • Windows Universal Apps
  • Blackberry 10
  • Easy Save does not officially support Playstation, Xbox or Nintendo as they require prohibitively expensive middle ware licenses to do so.

But in theory it is possible to integrate the storage APIs on these platforms

by writing data to memory, converting it to a byte array, and providing this to the platform’s storage API.

The first release was on June 1, 2011 so the asset has been around for a while now, which means it should be pretty stable by now.

The Playmaker Actions are very complete and good maintained.

Also the actions are named properly and are easy to understand (logic).

There Are some other Save assets on the the asset store, and there is one that is only for playmaker
